Academic tuition.
Entry into the Young Dancers Academy does not depend on academic ability. On admission, students sit a brief academic paper to assess their individual strengths and needs.
Experienced and well-qualified members of staff aim to help each student reach the highest level possible. Small classes ensure students are well supported and make good progress, regardless of their academic level.
All the core subjects are offered at the Young Dancers Academy, including English literature and language and Maths at both foundation and extended levels, depending on the student's ability.
Personal, Social and Health education (PHSE) is particularly relevant to young dancers with extra attention given to mental and physical health. Students' homework is marked and recorded weekly. Parents are kept informed of their child's progress by regular meetings and reports. Individual attention is considered extremely important.
